Operation body parts: Team game for Halloween

The concept of this game is simple. Teams must search and find body parts, and the first team to find them all is the winner. Mortuary Assistant is a similar game but played on an individual level. Also, discover my Halloween treasure hunts. Also Read: X Words For Kids

Preparation of the game “operation body parts.”

Preparation for body parts: Go to a Halloween specialty store or buy different body parts on Amazon: You will also need decoy body parts which you should be able to find at the grocery store: fingers = cooked cannelloni dough, Eyes = peeled olives and grapes, ears and tongues = large pasta shells and cut pieces of lasagna, heart = a half-peeled lemon to give it a weird texture. Add other pasta that represents intestines or worms to make it grosser.

Elements needed per team (remember, if you have 2 teams, you need two sets of elements): you must have 2 eyes, at least 5 fingers (one hand), 2 ears, 1 heart, and 1 tongue (you can add other body parts if you wish) per team. You need a total of 10-15 body parts.

Create a cardboard body: outline a body on cardboard and indicate where the missing body parts are. Tip: Ask your child to lie down on the cardboard and trace its outline. You need one body per team.

Make 2 sets of body parts cards: you need one card for each body part the children need to find. It’s straightforward to take a picture of the element (eye, finger, etc. And then print them. Then place one set of cards on orange paper and the other on black paper so you can tell the teams apart.

Preparing the mixture of body parts

A few hours before the game, prepare the mixtures that will include the body parts and foods such as large pasta shells, cannelloni, peeled grapes, etc. Things that will mimic body parts to look for. Cook the pasta, rinse and let cool for a few minutes, then add a tablespoon or two of oil and toss gently.

This should help control the pasta from adhering together. But use caution when adding more oil. The mixture should be a little slippery and gross for this Halloween game but beware: too much oil creates a safety hazard as oil dripping on the floor can cause children to slip.

Tip: To create texture differences, leave some pasta raw. Remember to prepare a good amount of pasta, as you need to fill a decent size container 15 to 20 centimeters high with the mixture of food and body parts. You can make the mix of each as large as you want, but 15 centimeters deep is the smallest container size I recommend.

Once the pasta is cooked and the oil mixed in each bucket, you can put it in the fridge to cool; then, before the game starts, take it out and toss the pasta gently to make sure it doesn’t stick. Next, add each team’s body parts.

How to play Operation Body Parts

Divide your players into two teams (an orange and a black team).

Layout each team’s cardboard body with the missing body parts and let each team know to search their shuffle/bucket for the missing body parts. Each player will only research one body part per turn.

And he will only have 15 seconds to search for that body part in the mix.

Which body part each team will search for will be based on the cards.

Note: This game can get messy, so I recommend that kids wear vinyl gloves and even “bibs” to protect their clothes.

When you give the go-ahead, the first member of each team draws a card (the top one) and goes to their team’s bucket to search for their specific body part. After 15 seconds have elapsed: If the body part is found, it is placed on the team’s cardboard body, and that card is removed from the team’s pile. If the player does not find the body part, this card goes to the bottom of the deck.
