Pinocchio is a magical animate film, the pinnacle of cinematic invention. Disney’s second film – originally a blockbuster – opens with a sweet caterpillar song. Filmyzilla is a new free entertainment portal where you can download Bollywood and Hollywood movies in high quality. It is uncomfortable to think of this material as directed at children, but that is its strength: it is a conduit to the turbulent current of identity formation. The conclusion is hard to deny: don’t lie to yourself or to others. For decades, cultural theorists have debated Pinocchio from a psychosexual point of view or as a guide to middle-class assimilation. But these considerations are like opening a snowball and finding only water in it. This adventure film has a universe of emotions about shame, redemption, death, and rebirth. Pinocchio will remain immortal as long as we draw, paint, tell stories, and wish upon the stars.
